A weak conscience is a conscience that may run into stumbling blocks because of someone else's actions.

Let's say that you've never had a problem with alcohol, never had a problem with drinking, and so you're a believer, and to you it's no big issue to go to the local tavern, and while everybody's drinking out there, you drink a Mountain Dew, and they're having their Jack Daniels, and they're having their Bud Lights, and they're getting buzzed and drunk, but you're having your Mountain Dew, and it doesn't affect you, and you talk to them, and you're in that environment, and it's no big issue.

But there's a brother at your home group, let's say, that they come out of a background of alcoholism, and before their life was, I get drunk, I get blasted, it's partying, and I'm trying to break out of this, and it's really difficult for me, and it's hard, and I'm fighting every weekend not to go to the bar scene, not to go to that old scene of pick up and hang out and get high and get drunk, and it's really, really difficult to leave it behind.

But since your conscience is not bothered by going to the tavern and having a seven up, you invite this brother along with you and you say, hey, want to hang out with me? They say, yeah.

Having no knowledge of what alcohol does to anybody, I handed out eight ounce glasses and started pouring Jack Daniels and pouring this and pouring that.
