Pac-12 Play Begins - WSU Needs to Find Win Column vs Fresno State | Joined by Mkristo Bruce

So Dylan, initial thoughts from this game, Washington State versus Arizona.

Yeah, a real tough one.

Off the bat, everybody sounds like they really enjoyed the game day environment, the new lighting, and just everything that came with that.

And then you get staked off to a 14-0 lead.

The offense comes out with a 10-play, 71-yard drive right off the bat.

A nice pin and pull where Caden Penick takes it himself into the end zone and you know, you're off and running and then Jaquinton ball, Jack ball with a pick six, uh, just a, an incredible, um, ability to jump the route and, uh, you know, make a big play.

Uh, you know, it's, it's one thing to, uh, it takes some cojones to, to, to be able to do that because if you miss, uh, it's, it's a, it's a pretty big game.

So one thing I wanted to bring up was the scramble play.

WSU is up 14 to seven.

Um, and Caden panic starts to scramble.

They, they reverse the call at first.

It's a, you know, a first down run on third and three, but then, you know, it's where he starts the slide, but on TV, it looked like he had the first down, regardless of where he started his slide.

They overturned that, uh, Um, and you know, Brian Kelly and, and Walt's and, and, and I can't remember the third guy that was in the broadcast for CBS, but like it wasn't Kelly.

It was the other former player.

Um, that was the, uh, the color commentator.

He's just like, dude, like, what are we doing? This is third down.

Like you got to put your head down and go get a first down here.

And like, that's when you really start to, to, you started to see the offense sputter because then Arizona comes back down.

They tie it up 14, 14.

And, you know, the plays, it's just you had multiple three play drives after that point in the game.

And it just felt like the offense just lost whatever sauce it had in the first half, the rhythm.

And ASU took over.

Yeah.

The tough thing, you know, field goal, it's still a nightmare.

You know, Jalen Caldwell falls flat on his face and, you know, Arizona rushes through and blocks that first attempt.
