Rose Bowl Stadium

Play Nevada.

Rose Bowl, that's tomorrow, 115.

USC's got a big one, too, hosting Ohio State at 430.

It's the Battle of L.A. at SoFi Stadium.

And one thing that's hurt me is seeing people come at some of the players being hurt, questioning some and being soft.

Like, I thought a little boy was going to cry during that point off to the Rose Bowl.

Yeah.

He looked emotional not being able to go out there.

Like,

I thought a little boy was going to cry during that point off of the Rose Bowl.

He looked emotional not being able to go out there.

And I don't know if the sun was in his eyes or what.

2008 and 2009, civil wars.

We're going to go to the Rose Bowl with victories.

Fail to get to that plateau.

2012, start the season 6-0.

Maybe that's the key.

If you start driving, instead of flying to the Rose Bowl, you drive to the Rose Bowl.

That's how you get the win.

Yes.

In January of 1977, the two friends who shared so many memories enjoyed mutual success within one week of each other.

On New Year's Day, John Robinson's Trojans capped off an incredible 11-1 season by winning the Rose Bowl, college football's most prestigious postseason spectacle of that time.

And just eight days later, his old pal John Madden left the same Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California with a Super Bowl championship.

Upon high school graduation, Madden enrolled at the College of San Mateo, Oregon, in Grays Harbor College before settling on California Polytech State University in San Luis Obispo.

Hopefully I said that right, Raider Nation.

Four traditional football games were scheduled this New Year's Day.

USC beat Indiana 14-3 in the Rose Bowl.

Texas A&M upset Alabama 20-16 in the Cotton Bowl.

Louisiana State scored a comeback victory over previously unbeaten Wyoming 20-13 in the Sugar Bowl.

And here come the Tennessee Volunteers through the tunnel.

What a day for football.

The Sugar Bowl, the Rose Bowl, and now the Orange Bowl.

All on the NBC radio network.

Oh, yeah.

Ohio State's got the long plane ride to the Rose Bowl against USC.

But when they get there, they find some difficulty giving me Trojans.

Did we just have Hogan and Macho Man? The mega powers

When we were first kind of just, aside from him doing the tournament, we started doing stuff together when we could because he splits time between here and Austin, and he's really busy.

We were going to the Rose Bowl, to the Rose Bowl game, And, uh, and she's a, an SC kid, a USC kid.

So she was like, you know, like razzing and I'm like, okay, we're in the UCLA section.

That's where we got the tickets from, you know, be respectful.
