I'm your host, Neil Rogers, and I'm thrilled to welcome you back as we continue our discussion on Christopher Nolan.

We are kicking off our official ranking on the man's epic films today across 12 feature films, and of course, soon to be 13 with the release of The Odyssey in Irish cinemas very, very soon.

Joining me as last time is Darren Mooney, author of Christopher Nolan, A Critical Study of the Films.

Darren is a pop culture writer and critic at large for the YouTube channel Second Wind, and has written for a number of publications over the years, including The Irish Independent, Polygon, and The Escapist, just to name a few.

He provides regular film coverage for Dublin's Q102 radio station and co-hosts the weekly 250 podcast, which is a superb listen.

Darren has published three books of criticism on The X-Files, Doctor Who, and, as mentioned, our subject for today, Christopher Nolan.

For those of you new here, The Complete Picture is a podcast dedicated to all the film completionist nerds out there, seasoned or aspiring, who, like us, have far too much time on their hands.

They don't just settle for nearly seeing all of a director's films, they have to see them all.

And it's in that spirit of cinematic celebration and, quite frankly, excess, well, that brings us here today.

Once a month, we here at The Complete Picture will endeavour to traverse our way across the filmographies of some of the world's most exciting, notable and, for better or worse, interesting directors that have graced the silver screen.
