Dave CawleyHostall-Heavenly Father, we have gathered at this remarkable and beautiful conference weekend for the primary purpose of worshiping Thee and Thy beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
Father, we thank Thee for the gift of Thy Son, and we pray that we can come to know Him better through the words that we hear and the things that we feel over these next two days.
We pray for the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve, that as they speak and teach throughout this conference weekend, that our hearts would be open to the truths that they will teach us.
We pray that they'll find this conference, where the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ will be taught so powerfully, clearly, and beautifully.
For all those who participate in this conference, may the Spirit of the Lord be upon them to bring them peace.
And may that same Spirit come to us, that our hearts would be able to receive the truths by the power of the Holy Ghost, that we can change to become more like Thy Son, Jesus Christ.
We pray earnestly also, Father, for the many throughout the earth who are suffering, who are lacking peace, and pray that they would be able to find it, and that we would be the instruments in Thy hands to deliver it.
We express our love to Thee and pray again that we may worship Thee in great joy, feeling lifted and strengthened through the messages and through Thy Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
