He planted and pastored multiple international churches, established several small businesses, and created leadership development programs for members of the organization, as well as overseeing missionary teams across the Arabian Peninsula.

And so it is really kind of the global church coming together to say, hey, how do we send our people to work on teams to see places that don't have gospel access, you know, suddenly come about it by a team being there and proclaiming Jesus.

So that's, you know, that's, Pioneers is big, it's complex in its organization, but in the end, it's just like, hey, how do we work together, you know, to see Christ proclaimed where he's not known?

Yeah, and it sounds like something that you do really well is involving the local church and partnering with the local church, which I think is vital.

So as we kind of get into the conversation, talk to me a little bit more about what role the local church plays in cross-cultural missions, and then later we'll talk about how the organization comes alongside.

His Excellency Bishop elucidated this for me because I was listening to his podcast episode with Theo Vaughn a few days ago.

And the posture was, the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.

I think the posture that I've always taken and a lot of us take is that the Church is in some defensive posture against the onslaught of the armies of hell, and we're trying to prevent them from overtaking us.

But in actuality, you think of the gates as the weakest point of any stronghold or civilization.

And Jesus, of course, the greatest, the greatest heirloom, the greatest tradition, the greatest gift that we have received that's been passed down to us, usually in our families, but not always and not only, is the gift of our faith, of the content of our faith, of the saving message of you, Jesus, of what you said and of what you did for us.

The Gospel that you entrusted to your disciples when you said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them everything that I've told you." And this saving word, this saving message, your saving word, your saving message, Jesus, was passed down faithfully, guided by the Holy Spirit, was passed down faithfully in and by the Church- You, Jesus, you gave them not only the command to pass down your teaching and your saving message, but the authority to properly teach and expound on that message and preserve it from con-contamination and error.

This is the tradition of the church, the passing down faithfully and teaching faithfully and expounding faithfully and preserving faithfully the Word of God, the gospel, the teaching of Christ and the apostles.

And Saint Paul refers to this in today's first reading.
