They are so completely out of touch, and someone asked me about this, actually, again, on my question box over the weekend, was like, "What is your take on the influencer culture right now? Because it seems to be kind of going down." And what I have to say about that is, what really annoys me...
I mean, there's so many things that annoy me, but something that really irritates me about influencers is, is it's just this, like, sense of entitlement and this idea that they're, like, working so fucking hard, and it's like, you're not, actually.
Like, you might be filming a brand deal, but that brand deal can fucking pay for your life for the next eight months, a year.
If you've ever worried about money in your life, it is in the back of your head all the time, all the time.
That's all you think about is, like, how... "What am I gonna do till my next check? How am I gonna get shampoo?" You start, like...
And so these influencers who say that, like, their life is so hard piss me off, and they even make me more angry when they, like, try to be relatable, when they're like, "No, you guys, like, I really blah, blah, blah." It's like, no, you come from family money.
You didn't have to fucking work when you wanted to be an influencer during COVID.
You had access to all the best clothes, all the best bags, all the best everything, and that's how you got your following on Instagram.
