Bruce opens the show with an update on Erica Crawley and then dives into the efforts by Columbus City Council to give themselves raises and other superfluous things to spend money on that only benefit…

But let's start with Franklin County Commissioner Erica Crawley, shall we? Who is now under investigation by a guy who told me a week ago Friday, and told you if you were in attendance at our event at Genoa Christian Fellowship, that he enjoys putting public officials in handcuffs and walking them out of their offices because they have committed fraud.

That'd be Keith Faber, your current Ohio auditor, your, I hope, future attorney general.

Keith Faber and the Ohio Auditor's office are now [laughs] investigating Erica Crawley, the Franklin County commissioner, probably both for her free tickets that she took to a July 2nd concert at Old Crew Stadium, and for, yes, the 14 parking tickets that totaled up...

You say, "Wow, costs a lot to be parked illegally in Columbus." Well, it does when one of them is parking in a handicap spot.

Kudos to Lacey Crisp of 10TV, who has, uh, led the reporting on this, with a story over the weekend that, poof, has vanished into the ether on the 10TV website.

I DVR the local news so I can watch it every night, just in case there's something going on, might wanna grab a soundbite from my audience.

I would think that's pretty big news if the state auditor is investigating a Franklin County commissioner for fraud or for violating the law.

But then they buried it under some other nonsensical stuff, including a weather report, and now it's nowhere to be found on the 10TV website.

You have to go to Lacey Crisp's Twitter account, which she has apparently not yet been told to scrub of anything that speaks ill of Erica Crawley.

Given her propensity to, uh, rub up against the, uh, elasticity of the law, to start dubbing her Erica Creepy Crawley.

Now, I have to tell you why it was telling, because this is radio, not television, and you won't be able to see what I was able to see on Saturday night when I watched this report, which is the bright, shiny blue Ford Edge kinda sedan, SUV-ish type vehicle that Erica Crawley was parking illegally, was parked in a handicap spot on a beautiful, sunny day, June the 24th.
