Ep 18: Kate Clark Stone Interview

[upbeat music] Hi, how's it going?

Great.

Thank you.

I'm so excited.

I have a special guest on today.

If you want to introduce yourself and tell everyone a little about you.

So, I'm Kate Clark Stone, and my debut novel, The Last Sunday in May, just came out on May 1st.

Oh my gosh, so exciting.

How does it feel? [laughs]

[laughs] Surreal.

Surreal.

Yeah.

I still wake up some mornings, I'm like, "Oh, that happened." Like-

That-

Just-

Yeah

... feels like a dream.

Yeah, it's such a huge accomplishment.

I feel like you have to definitely celebrate, and, like, especially in your debut, you know? It's like s- you're only gonna get the first one one time.

[laughs]

Yeah, I keep doing these wild swings between celebrating, I'm like, "Ooh, one more cupcake"

[laughs]

... and, you know, just waking up and I'm like, "Wait, that happened?" [laughs]

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.
