December, 2019, I had gotten so sick.
I was still at my current job that I am.
I had two weeks of vacation because my family, we were ho- we were hosting, this is like the second year that we were hosting a Christmas party, uh, themed party at a hotel because it's a lot of us.
So we had to like, you know, go to a hotel because none of our houses are big enough to hold all of us, all of us.
And it was winter, it was cold.
So I started getting sick out of the blue or whatever.
And I remember the first day that I got sick.
I was at work, I started coughing, I started having these motherfucking headaches.
I ain't never had no headaches like that, like ever.
I said, "You know what? Let me go home.
Um, I'm gonna go tomorrow.
I'm gonna try to sleep it off." Took me a Zyrtec, took me, um, uh, what is that? Benadryl.
I said, "Maybe this will work," right? Woke up, migraine.
Migraine out of like just...
And it was just my head and then my throat was itchy.
Went to Vander Milk- Vanderbilt and, uh, seen the nurse or whatever, and she like looked in my throat, looked in my nose, and she tested.
She was like, "Yeah." She came back within like 15 minutes and was like, "Hey, like we don't know what it is, but y- you're gonna have to leave.
Um, we'll try to give you some medication." I said, "Excuse me?" I said, "What do you mean you don't know what it is?" She's like, "We don't know what it is.
Something's just going around." I said, "And y'all can't figure it out?" This is me talking-
That's what they had my dad for like two months.
