Following all the challenges we've had recently, Governor Kemp put together a task force and made Johnny Sabo, director of the Georgia Forestry Commission, chairman of the task force, and he really led the task force in some discussions to evaluate all the challenges forest landowners are facing, forest industries facing, and they put together a report to outline these challenges and then also some action items.

One of the action items is creating Georgia grown wood products, marketing, also providing a demonstration building, a proof of concept for mass timber.

The Georgia Forestry Commission received funding to build a mass timber building in Morgan County.

and funded the way that they did.

So the idea with the Georgia Forestry Innovation Initiative is to take funding, and as Chris mentioned, ideas that are conceptual and have been demonstrated in the lab, and taking those to market.

Governor Kemp stepping in and saying, I want to include it in my budget to invest in this for the benefit of the state.

I think we feel very obligated to him, to the State House, and to the people of Georgia to really pull this off.

And it's just kind of a reminder of we're going to be central this year and we're probably going to be central in 2028.

You had other, you had Derek Dooley, you had other people who are out there, but your primary, which is not, you can't put that on saying it's a weak party, you know, party structure.

The reason why your party is funded the way it is right now is because Brian Kemp lost faith in it and redirected it.

And then you had SB 202 or the legislation where he allowed him to create leadership committees.

The Democratic base is much more energized.

The GOP obviously still has a number of incumbents and Governor Brian Kemp amongst them out there working the trail hard.

I happened to attend a rally at Peachtree to Cab Airport earlier this week with Governor Kemp, Rick Jackson, and all of the GOP nominees, where I think the GOP is most vulnerable.

is those down-ticket, non-incumbent seats which don't have a name that's known to the state people of Georgia and lieutenant governor and secretary of state and attorney general in the two public service commission races.

And I think that's a much more effective version of Barack Obama.

The Republican ballot in this midterm election being driven figuratively and literally, the bus being driven by Rick Jackson, he's going to have to try to pull some of the down-ballot candidates across the race.

And he's taking a bus tour and really embracing Governor Brian Kemp.

I've enjoyed watching the chemistry of the two of them develop because, you know, initially Brian Kemp stayed out of that race, but I had a chance to visit with the governor and the first lady at that PDK event, they're talking about winning and winning big, down ticket, and reminding people what the GOP has done during the 20-something years they've had the rains in Georgia.

And so we, in our state, we've had really great leaders, Brad Raffensperger, for example, Brian Kemp, really pushed back on the narrative that our elections were stolen in 2020.
