The difference between a high school and a D1 pitcher is bigger than most players and families realize.

And before we get into today's video, my name is Evan Mendoza, and I played seven years of professional baseball between the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Diego Padres.

I also went through the college recruiting process and landed a D1 scholarship really as a right-handed pitcher, but then also as a shortstop when I was in high school.

And, uh, my freshman year at NC State University, I actually was more of a pitcher than a position player.

But in this video, I'm gonna share with you guys the difference of basically those D1 pitchers compared to those high school pitchers because this is really the gap that I think a lot of high school baseball players don't realize, and this is the type of information that you guys need.
