What is an idol? When do we recognize an idol? I was talking to a guy yesterday about this, and he was using that in terms of he was recently born again.

He was thinking, when can I start dating a girl? I don't want to date a girl to marry because that could become an idol.

I told him, I said, that would be like your mother gets you this incredible gift for Christmas, and you open up the gift, and she goes, what do you think? And you go...

And me stepping away from country music and calling it an idol, which I have, sometimes it goes too far with people.

Therefore, maybe I need to be thinking about what I do, and maybe that's an idol too.
