Psalm 61

Amen.

Psalm 61 Hear my crying, O God, give ear unto my prayer.

From the ends of the earth will I call upon thee, when my heart is in heaviness.

O set me up upon the rock which is higher than I, for thou hast been my hope and a strong tower for me against the enemy.

I'm gonna stop from that part there.

Then I wanna move on to Psalm 61.

Psalm 61.

So this is, this is David.

This is s- actually, I'm not sure if Psalm 6- I'm pretty sure this is S- uh, David, but let's just...

We don't listen to those voices.

[laughs] We don't listen to those voices.

All right, so in Psalm 61 it says, "From the end of the earth, I will cry to you when my heart is overwhelmed." This is a great picture of where David is right now, and where we find ourselves at times.

Verse 12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

And now, Psalm 61 to the chief musician upon Nagina, a psalm of David.

Verse 1.

Hear my cry, O God, attend unto my prayer.

out of all his troubles.

And now, Psalm 61.

To the chief musician, upon Nagina, a psalm of David.

Verse 1.

Wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? And now.

Psalm 61, to the chief musician upon Nagina, a psalm of David.

Verse 1.

Verse 2.

Let thy glory be above all the earth.

Let us rest in Psalm 61, a Psalm of David.

Verse 1.

Hear my cry, O God, attend unto my prayer.

Let thy glory be above all the earth.

Let the words continue through Psalm 61, a psalm of David.

Verse 1 Hear my cry, O God, attend unto my prayer.

Verse 2.

Welcome back to Midweek Reset.

So the other day I was listening to one of my favorite preachers, Cliff Goodwin, and he was preaching from Psalm 61.

And he brought out something in this passage that I had never heard before.

And honestly, I was so surprised and delighted by it because you know how sometimes you've read a verse plenty of times and you know the verse, you love the verse, and then somebody points out one little thing, like a little detail that makes you stop and see the whole thing differently.

That's what happened to me with Psalm 61.

So in Psalm 61, David says, Hear my cry, O God.

Attend to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to you.
