If you listen to my other podcast, Control Alt Speech, you probably heard last week's episode with guest co-host Konstantinos Komaitis.

On controlled speech, he mentioned very briefly at one point his concerns about AI, LLM technologies, and how they could remove user agency rather than increase it.

And I know that he's been thinking about this and working on stuff, and he had sent me some thoughts that he had on this.

And while historically, I almost always find myself in total agreement with him on this, my reaction was... kind of the opposite.

Or there's some sort of deeper point of disconnect or some sort of misunderstanding.

And he graciously just agreed that we could do it in a recorded fashion on this podcast.

And I think this discussion is one of those where I haven't necessarily prepared a whole list of questions.

And as we were getting ready for this, we also talked about maybe this would move away from the AI discussion towards the broader question of the state of the global internet and whether or not we can have a global open internet and a variety of other things.

So we're going to start the discussion around the question of AI and we will see where it goes.

But Konstantinos, welcome to the TechTurtle podcast instead of the Control Alt Speech podcast.
It's great to be, well, not really be back, but it's great to be chatting with you again.
