Canadian Travel News Hour - Episode 1 Royalton Resorts on Zoomer Radio Sept 20

But before we get into that, I just want to touch on a couple of things that are in the news this week from the world of travel here in Canada.

Big news that came out, maybe not surprising, maybe surprising to others, is that Air Canada has won the Best Airline North America category from Skytrax, which is the aviation world's measurement on success.

And also...

For the eighth time in a row, Air Transat has won Leisure Airline of the World, which is incredible.

Really incredible.

I mean, from a Canadian perspective, based out of Montreal, been in business for decades.

It's great to see them pick up such a fantastic award.

And then...

Also new is Flair Vacations.

A lot of people know Flair Airlines.

Obviously, they've been operating in the Canadian market for 10-ish years and got a reputation for offering value proposition for Canadian flyers.

And they've come out now with, announced just this week, Flair Vacations.

And a pretty robust flight schedule they've got.

We looked at some of their routing and Cancun alone out of Canada, they've got 38 departures weekly.

in season coming out of Canada into Cancun.

So a great addition into the marketplace.

I mean, the consumer always needs value add and they need extra options and choices to choose from.

You know, travel is, I don't know.

Travel is something that you need to keep your mind sane, or if it is a luxury item, no, I don't know.

It keeps me sane.

Absolutely true.

But that's exciting for Canadians and for all the folks at Flair Vacations as well.

We wish them all the luck because they'll be rolling out this fall.

Lots of different product lines that are coming up.
