Yeah.

um, for better or for worse.

And we went in 2025, had an amazing, amazing time.

Um, Saw the Northern Lights, which was kind of the main reason we went.

Had an amazing time and experience there.

And we had invited my parents, who are also avid travelers, and they just weren't able to make that trip.

And we told them that we would go back again this year altogether.

And that was kind of the impetus for going back to Fairbanks, back to back, year to year.

And we got really good airfare.

And we went the first week of March, basically.

last year we went the last week of february and right away the biggest difference between the two trips was the weather last year in 2025 we lucked out and it was well i'd say we lucked out because it was really really warm i mean like it didn't get into the negatives a whole lot and if it did it was only like for a brief moment at you know the coldest part of the evening This year when we went... let me tell you, it was so freaking cold.

It got down to be negative 30 at night and compared to last year when we went and it was, um, you know, 30 degrees during the day, 28 degrees during the day.

Um, it obviously was a completely different experience.

Um, just because, um, the bitter cold of negative 30 degrees um when you're out in the middle of the night waiting to see the aurora um it kind of just changes the whole like vibe in the you know basically like how long you're going to be willing to stand outside you know last year when we went um you know it was still really cold at night you know you're not going to be you know hanging out all all night outside but you know you're you could be outside for more than two minutes where this year you could literally only be out of the, out of the heated car for like a couple of minutes before you're like, Oh my God, I have to get back into some, um, into the heater.

And that just, um, that just kind of changed things a little bit.

It obviously wasn't as enjoyable to be, you know, out looking at the Northern lights.

And that was kind of the main reason, uh, we went back to Fairbanks, Alaska.

And if you missed the last couple episodes, Fairbanks, Alaska is in the interior of Alaska and is one of the best places in the entire world to see the Northern lights.

It really, it's right under the Aurora loop.

And, um, basically, um, If it's basically it's just one of the best places we have the highest likelihood of seeing the northern lights.

And of course, it depends on solar activity.

It's not guaranteed, which is something that we have known from when we went to Tromso.

You know, we have had clear skies, but still no solar activity.

And so we didn't see any northern lights there.

And, um, this time around, unfortunately, when we went to Fairbanks, um, it was like clear the first night, didn't see anything.
