1 Samuel chapter 15, there was a lady, you know, um, [coughs] and she was at home, and the husband was a, a businessman.
He was in a very important business meeting.
They're talking about millions of US dollars that was going to be signed in a deal, and he's trying to, uh, you know, work out that deal.
He's in a big boardroom with many of his, uh, uh, uh, you know, his friends and comrades there.
And his phone...
You know, there's a, there's a message on his phone that comes up and it says, "Honey, it's an emergency." And he sees it's his, uh, wife's phone.
He panics, and he's like, uh, he's trying to, uh, uh, uh, reach out to her.
He ex- excuses himself, uh, out of the, you know, the boardroom to come out, try to call her and text her.
Uh, that's it.
There's no, no more response.
So he, so he tells, you know, "Hey, can we just hold onto the meeting for a few minutes? Uh, I'm gonna be back." He hits the f- He, he goes out to the parking lot.
You know what? He gets into the car and, uh, he's driving.
Man, it's an emergency.
He doesn't know what's happening to her.
As a husband, his heart's beating, racing, and he's doing his best to drive safely.
Halfway as he's going, amen, on his way to his home, his wife responds and c- picks the call.
So the husband, you know, says, "What happened, honey?" And she says, "You know what? It's an emergency, darling." And he says, "What's the emergency?" She says, "You know what? 20 minutes back, I posted something on my social media platform.
Nobody has responded to that." [laughs] And he says, "That's not an emergency." She says, "You don't understand.
I have 847 subscribers, followers.
Not a single has responded to me." And she was so frustrated in life because of that.
Needless to say, amen, this poor man, you know what? To keep his marriage probably bit his tongue, amen, and just, uh, moved on.
But how many of you know that's the sad reality of today's generation, which is so saturated with the screen? Social media and all kind of, uh, things online has got people, amen, saturated.
And I believe with all my heart, amen, for some people social media has become their spiritual voice.
And I wanna present to you a version.
