Republicans are starting to distance themselves from Donald Trump as the midterms approach — but why now? In this episode of Tactical Pause, we dig into the shifting political landscape heading…
I saw his speech at the UN, which it reminded me of the same tone that I expect from like a defiant 15-year-old.
I found it to, I mean, most like with most things it's beneath the dignity of the office.
So that's all we have left is this bluster, the threats to annihilate, which I think rightfully people take to a nuclear end.
You know, when he says, you know, we'll wipe them out overnight, that doesn't usually lead to conventional weapons where, you know, I, Whether he's thinking that or not, I think that we err on the side of caution there.
I really think that that's part of a pattern that we've seen with him and one in which I don't think he's going to survive a primary next cycle.
I mean, first of all, I don't think he's going to do it, and I don't think anybody thinks he's actually going to do it.
But just him saying that, you know, saying openly that he's willing to commit a war crime, it's ridiculous.
And specifically the bombing of the girls schools and he had pictures of the kids too really made us look like terrible it made us look like shit like it really did and i'm not saying that i'm all in on iran on everything but it made us look like some really unethical assholes
You know, children shouldn't die, right? There should be no world that we accept in which we say some children don't deserve to grow up.
At the same time, as both of us have been to war, things go wrong, bad things can happen.
This was one of those events that consistently showed a flawed intelligence or a inability to target correctly.
Had we decided to listen to our own CIA, our own NSA, the internal intelligences we had and not done this, those girls would still be alive and we'd be at a better negotiating table or a better position at the negotiating table than we are.
