The Legendary Jared Pool

Jared, welcome to T-Shaw's Progressive Bluegrass.

Thank you so much for joining us today.

Man, it's such a pleasure to hear

from you and to chat with you, man.

It's been a minute.

I'm stoked to have you here.

I've been trying to get you lined up with T-Shaws for a while now, but most of the listeners probably know you most recently.

Worked and played with Larry Keel, the Larry Keel experience, any other Larry Keel side project for about just under 10 years, I think.

Yeah, right at about 10 years.

Yeah.

Well, when I first met you, it was kind of by a random accident.

When I had heard you were joining Larry Keel, when they made the announcement that you were Larry Keel, I Facebook friended you.

And then didn't think much of it for a week or two.

And when we were sitting at the airport to go on the, I think it was the middle fork of the Salmon River whitewater trip for my 40th birthday, Kat and I did a trip to celebrate a little over the top.

And I'm sitting at the airport looking at Facebook and it didn't quite click in my mind who Jared Pool was yet.

And you made a post in the airport that, hey, I'm getting ready to go on this Middle Fork trip.

I'm like, oh, hey, Kat, look, one of my Facebook friends is going to join us on the trip.

Not really sure who he is.

And then dug a little deeper.

Oh, wait, he's Larry's new mandolin player.

And it so happens that we bumped into each other at one of the terminals at the airport getting onto the same connecting flight.

I remember

this.

Yeah.

Yeah.
