Week 5 Preview - NCAA Football - Sun Belt

All right.

Let's jump into the look that we're gonna see, um, for this episode, talking about the records from the out of conference, and yes, the Sun Belt themselves is almost done, as are a few other conferences.

Uh, but there's one or two that still have quite a few out of conference games left.

So we'll take a look at the picture, but again, not done.

That's why we said almost done.

So let's jump into the week outlook as we've seen it.

Week one, 10 and 4.

Week two, 7 and 7.

Again, a lot of that FCS opponents there in week one.

Week three, the Sun Belt went 5 and 9.

In week four we had our worst week yet, unfortunately, going just 4 and 7 overall.

So unfortunately, you know, we started off on a really good set of circumstances with a lot of weaker opponents.

They did kind of get progressively better as they went along.

Uh, I think this was a week we still could've really taken advantage of a not great slate.

We had a couple really good match-ups that would've been, you know, major upsets, but only come out with a 4 and 7 record, so not great.

Uh, we did get that Georgia State team that is surprising everybody, so they are on the graphic here if you're watching this one on YouTube, Apple, or Spotify at the moment.

Uh, so respect to them and shout-out as they've surprised a lot of people, not just in the Sun Belt, uh, but in the nation overall who've paid attention to what they've done to start off with.

We've updated the conference look versus everybody else, and here it is.

Again, 13 and 1 versus the FCS.

We had that slip-up with ULM.

Uh, we almost had another slip-up [laughs] because Marshall and Gardner-Webb, uh, talk about that here in a little bit with TJ, but luckily Marshall did escape with the victory there.

So we added another one.

We were 12 and 1 last week.

We are now 13 and 1 against FCS opponents.

0 and 3 versus the Big 10, unfortunate, but not surprising as Big 10 and SEC are most often considered the two best conferences in college football.
