I mean, it sounds a little bit creepier than it does.
It does.
But don't think a simple exorcism will drive away this spirit.
Hell no.
In many stories, duendes are immune to holy water, the sign of the cross, and other Christian-based attempts at warding them away.
But a chancleta will do the trick for anything.
A chancleta will get rid of anything.
Yes.
Most importantly, a bad attitude and disrespect.
Duendes are small, humanoid creatures about the height of a baby, as they're frequently described.
Don't care for that.

But, you know, point made.
And they are found in the folklore of Iberia, Latin America, and are comparable to legendary creatures of Spain, Portugal, Peru, and the Philippines.
Now, let it be noted here that due to the many, many legendary but miniature fae found in these areas, we will be using the term duende as a kind of catch-all term for the above-mentioned locations.
mischievous and very occasionally helpful very occasionally duendes are sometimes considered to be good or benevolent spirits and other times considered to be tricksters who lean more towards a chaotic bend i would like to say they're like half they could be in like the chaotic good side or just like the chaotic neutral i feel like that's it chaotic neutral
Yeah, I think chaotic neutral is a good descriptor for them, for sure.
They enjoy pulling pranks on the human residents of the homes they inhabit, such as luring the family children into the woods to become lost and possibly die.
Scratching girl children in their sleep to claim them as future brides.
