some prime day deals today.
Yeah.
Ask any financial advisor.
And when checking out, I saw that my visa, my prime visa gave 8% cash back on the order.
Since my next best card was only a palladium, that would require something like an average of nearly 2.5 cents per point to break even with.
That got me wondering, do the hosts have a similar line where if the cash back is X percent better than points, you'll go with cash back or do you just not even consider cash back? With my co-hosts both being who they are with regards to cashback versus points.
So yes, I have a line, but like I have the 6% for Walmart and Amazon this quarter with the shopper's cash.
I use that when I go to Amazon and Walmart because right now I get 6% cash back on that versus like 2% on, or I'm sorry, 2X on like my BBP.
So for me, right now, that works out.
I don't know if I'm keeping those cards, though.
So it really depends on if I keep the cards, if that math's still math.
I also, because I have AT&T, I pay it out of my account versus putting it on a card because I get a discount that way.
So I don't have the phone plan to use with the cash plus anymore.
So that card, you know, is, is lower in the pecking order, but yeah, if it's five or 6% cash back or 8% cash back versus two X, because it's not a higher category thing, then yeah, I will probably do the cash back, even though it doesn't make my brain as happy.
Oh, specifically, when you think of Amazon, I attack it in a kind of a tiered approach.
