Episode 2: The Climate of Fear

Last week, this podcast was called Unchained, but then we discovered that it actually belonged, that name actually belonged to somebody else.

So Sarah and I had to think of something different.

Hello and welcome to Something Different with John McGurk and Sarah Ryan, or should I call her the woman who would outdo all the pantomime villains of a century of skullduggery.

That is what she was called in a substack last week by John Waters, who apparently originally owned the name of the Unchained podcast.

We'll come to that in a moment.

But on this podcast, we are going to talk at length about what can only be described as the horrific crime spree that Ireland and the UK have endured over the last few weeks.

We're going to talk about the Alex Cotland case, the Yves Salika case, the Henry Novak case,

and the case of Cian Balogun,

the most recent stabbing victim in what now appears to be a weekly epidemic in Dublin.

We're also going to talk about Sinn Féin's poll slump.

We're going to talk about some illegal streaming of the Champions League final and what that says about RTE.

And we are going to talk about Bonnie Blue and her pregnancy, which is something that Sarah wanted to discuss but first of all Sarah how are you have you engaged in much skullduggery this week
