MLS Soccerwise | St. Louis Makes History, Philadelphia Union Keep Rolling

So why don't you get us started on the best thing you saw this weekend?

Yeah, let's not overcomplicate this.

It's St. Louis City.

Uh, historic run, 20 games unbeaten now, tying the Major League Soccer all-time record.

They beat the [laughs] LA Galaxy 6-2 last night.

It was 3-0 within 21 minutes.

A hat trick from Carlos Hosa.

It was 5-1 at halftime.

Um, and this was an absolute boat race.

This was the exclamation point on an incredible run for the St. Louis City team.

I don't even know where to start, given, um, everything that we could do around this team.

Since the World Cup break, they're second in MLS in goal difference, sixth second in expected goals.

Hoffen Navajo has seven goals and nine assists in 450 minutes, uh, for the St. Louis City.

Somehow we undersold how perfect a fit he was gonna be for this team.

Carlos Hosa, in his last four games, he missed the US Open Cup semifinal that obviously Hoffen Navajo was unable to play in because he was cup- tied, cup-tied to the Colorado Rapids.

Didn't matter, they won that game 3-0.

After getting back from that illness and really getting into the team, Hosa, who was very briefly their club record signing, has five goals and one assist in his last 300 minutes.

Both of these players are averaging goal contributions every 50 minutes.

It is unbelievable.

Alexandru Mitriță, another summer signing, has been very good for them.

St. Louis City are the best team in the Western Conference right now.

The Vancouver Whitecaps have slipped.

And it was a party all da- all night on Sunday in St. Louis.

That is a wonderful stadium, a wonderful fan base.

There is not enough, uh, positive things I can say about this group on the field, about the club, off the field, about the fans in the stands, and it's really fun to watch, uh, this St. Louis City run and, and they're gonna be looking to break the MLS unbeaten streak on Wednesday.
