NFL Injury Chaos: Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Bengals Trouble & Falcons on Fire!

Um, I did not watch a lot of football, but there was some good football on Monday night.

I did watch the Monday night game and wow, I have to say the Atlanta Falcons, John, [sighs] how impressive [laughs] are the Falcons? Now I know, you know, they were my pick to win the division, um, I didn't quite think they would be this kind of firepower with, uh, Penix.

What, what do you, what did you think of the performance?

I mean, I don't know what happened.

I'm, I'm assuming the guys are just rallying behind him because they're like, "Yeah, it's not Tua or Cooper Rush," or whoever, and they're like, "Yeah, Penix," you know? Because the last time I seen Penix play he did not look anything close to this good.

Um, a year two jump maybe.

I, I mean, I just don't know how that works with the injury.

But whatever it is, whatever voodoo they got cooking down there in Atlanta, it's working because they look like a great team.

In the past two weeks they've been number one in a lot of categories.

[laughs] So, uh-

Yes

... they're, they're looking tough.

Um, it's, it's one of those you look at Penix, and you look at, you look at this past week's numbers, and they weren't great.

You know?

Yeah.

Atlanta really went on the running game on Monday night.

Um, however, the couple weeks before I think it's just so nice when you have a quarterback and a running back that can complement each other and how much more it opens up the game.

Having a serviceable quarterback has opened it up for Robinson and Robinson.

'Cause-

Yes

... 'cause Brian Robinson got some love Monday night as well.

Uh, so opening up the game for them has just been amazing, having a, having a decent quarterback.

Yep.

The Robinsons.

[laughs]
