Before my first business, I probably should go my first career was actually in medicine.

I studied medicine and only practiced for three years after I graduated because I hated it.

And the problem with that was that all I was doing is prescribing drugs that I didn't even have to dispense or didn't even have to administer because we had nurses to do all that.

But apparently the next step, rather than being well thought out, which would have been go into a different area of medicine, my next step was burn it all down and go and become a bartender on Oxford Street in Sydney in the 1990s, late 90s.

One which was just so orderly that you're like bored out of your tree and the other which is so chaotic that things aren't great.

And how did you end up with all these different businesses? That's something that… Oh, wow.

So probably the first stab at business, real business, I'm not counting my attempt to sell apple pies from the school tuck shop out of my school locker at recess time when I was 15 years old.

What we will count is from 2008 onwards when I was doing a bit of freelance writing on the side for a couple of magazines.

Something that a friend of mine just said, hey, do you know anyone who knows how to write? And I just went, I can write anything.

And so the business was really just as a freelance writer that then became a freelance recorder of radio commercials using my own voice, became video production, became building websites, became, became, became until finally...
