Maddison shines as Spurs beat Coventry to claim first win

The last winless record in the top seven divisions of English football comes to an end.

Tottenham finally have their first win of the season in the Premier League.

It's an evening that's dripping with positives and personal satisfaction.

The return of James Madison to the starting eleven saw him return to scoring form in some style to set Spurs on the way.

Coventry played their part in the match.

They levelled up five minutes into the second half through Jack Bradoni, his second goal in two games.

But Bamush's first goal for the club since he arrived in the summer.

And Ben Davies' first of the season.

in stoppage time at the end of the match, made sure it's all smiles for Tottenham Hotspur.

Off the bottom of the table, scoring again in numbers, winning again, suddenly it feels like they might just be moving in the right direction.

Final score, Tottenham Hotspur 3, Coventry City 1.

Bill, Alan, thank you very much.

In many ways, not the perfect performance from Spurs tonight.

But also in many ways, it's the perfect night.

Getting key players back on the pitch, winning in the end with a little bit of breathing space and moving in the right direction.

A great night for the Spurs fans who were there.

And for one who was with us in the studio, Sandro, former Spurs midfielder, has kicked every ball tonight.

Yes.

Sandro, just tell us what this means.

Wow.

release this.

We needed that win.

And we showed that we can turn this around because this tournament is like this.

Sometimes you suffer, but it's good to win again.

And congratulations for Martin Kudos.
