Bay FC

point of Seattle, so it's still all to play for these final couple of weeks.

Yeah, and frankly, if they beat Portland, who do not look good and who did not look good against Bay FC, Portland absolutely could be the odd

one out here.

Score too early and you choke.

Yeah.

And who, yeah, made her name at Atlanta United and then was the GM at DC United for a couple of years.

And then we know her best as Bay FC's first GM, which crashed and burned under still slightly mysterious circumstances in the middle of their first campaign.

So she was on the job for 12 months, but she was only overseeing the roster while the team was playing for, you know, little over half of a season.

So doable, a doable final two games, but you never know and you never know with this team.

San Diego Wave going against the Boston Legacy next and Bay FC.

Legacy, as I said, have been playing much better.

They find themselves up in 12th place after being eliminated.

Now, I don't know how I feel about her history.

She has served a couple years with DC United, where she kind of was involved with the downfall that's been going on.

With that team, she's been at Bay FC for a year or two as a general manager.

I can't say too impressive with getting that project off the ground as well.

She was with DC United.

She was for a span of time with Bay FC, I guess it is, of the NWSL.

Lucy Rushton, supposedly an analytics type with experience in MLS and NWSL.

No success.

That is their first game.

Before their season finale that presents the biggest barrier, I think between the wave and six points out of their last two matches, their season finale is against Bay FC.

And they have to keep solidifying their defensive principles, which have settled really nicely since the mid season signing of goalkeeper Sandra Ponyos, who has started for the wave since about the end of July, beginning of August and hasn't looked back.

It took them a while to get that settled.

The founding four members of the club invited us in.

Currently, Bay FC shares practice space with San Jose State, and the team says it cannot wait to have a home and space of their own.

We never had anything close to this, but that's why we're doing this.

That's why we are founders.

So this is actually my third role in sports.

So prior to joining Denver Summit, I was with Bay FC on their expansion journey.

So back-to-back expansion endeavors, which is not for the faint of heart, I will say, but also really rewarding.

So bringing this franchise here to Denver has been incredible.

I feel the same way about my experience with Bay FC and bringing that club to the market.

And then prior to that, I spent six years as the chief marketing officer of the Golden State Warriors.

So really got to learn an amazing best practices in sports, bringing the team from Oakland to San Francisco, building and opening Chase Center.

And then that was really my first role.

I forget who they were playing.

Bay FC.

And Bay FC controlled that game until probably the 85th minute where Portland tied it.

So there is definitely, if we watch that, there's definitely some like areas that we can see that are available for us.

Portland does a really good job of not allowing you to really overload their box.
