Our Thinking Is Under Attack 🥷💫🌐 Cognitive Resilience in the 4th Industrial Revolution 🚀🏭 🤖✨

i i and and speaking of trends we're now in what people are calling the fourth industrial revolution

right or

ir you know what makes this era different from other industrial revelations

This is a great question.

So let me go back just a little bit.

What's the first industrial revolution? We had steam power.

We created the first factories.

And the thing that's really interesting about the industrial revolutions isn't just the technology, which is certainly the catalyst, but it's the ripple effects that come from the technology.

So we started to create factories.

We started to have steam power.

And then we changed the way that cities were created.

We changed the structure of families.

Work was no longer at the house anymore.

but people left and they came back.

And so you started to see all of these societal changes.

The second industrial revolution had electricity and mass production at scale.

The third industrial revolution was the digital age.

So computers, the internet, and we saw there the democratization of information.

So real changing power structures from how you used to have these informational gatekeepers to now we started to have peer-to-peer networks and influencers.

We saw the rise of the gig economy, right? And so this kind of middle person of AI, of automation, being able to connect people together through Uber or Lyft or Airbnb, right? So that kind of change.

And we really saw the rise of the attention economy, right? Where your attention is monetized, it is manipulated.

Right? All of this.

Now we're in the fourth industrial revolution, which is characterized by the advanced AI tools we have, the idea of convergence.

So the convergence of digital systems with physical systems with biological systems.

So think, you know, neuro implants and buildings that are actually like AI enabled with their own generative AI personality that you can query and talk to about what's happening in the space or in the business.
