Vidas PinkeviciusHost
Ausra Motuzaite-PinkevicieneHostAnyway, after my frustration of my episode, now let's frustrate our episode.
Yes, and you know, imagine Vidas' frustration about this because since I know him, and I, I know him since the year of 1994, he was basically dreaming to go to Åland and to perform a recital in their famous festival, because his late professor Leopoldas Degrys and, uh, some other, you know, famous Lithuanian organists went to that festival, you know, to perform, and he- it was his dream as well.
So [laughs] it's a little, uh, coincidence and, and symbolic meaning for me, too.
Um, so finally, uh, we got invited, uh, to this festival, uh, but on- sadly, only, uh, I could go this year because Ausra had to stay behind and play [laughs] all those graduation ceremonies.
Uh, and since the festival only runs in, in, around Midsummer, around, uh, uh, the, around the end of June, basically starting of July maybe.
Uh, this year it was, uh, around Midsummer, and we couldn't basically go together because one of us had to play graduation ceremonies, and we decided that I should go, uh, alone.
The proposal was, of course, to play our Baltic Reverie duet recital, but since Ausra couldn't come, I rearranged the pieces and, um, and, uh, updated the program, uh, so that it would still work as Baltic Reverie, uh, but, uh, for organ solo.
Music from all of the surrounding eight countries around the Baltic Sea, plus, uh, music from the Åland.
And basically, well, that way you learned some new and really exciting pieces.
