How does that sound? How does that feel to you? Welcome back to Second Opinion.

I'm Rosemary, healthcare pro, board-certified cardiovascular perfusionist, and for more than 30 years, I've had one of the most extraordinary vantage points I've spent my career inside the OR watching medicine at its very best and sometimes very worse.

Not because experiments guarantee answers, because they create awareness and even more questions.

This summer, I started with one incredibly simple experiment, drinking a glass of water before my coffee and then drinking my coffee black.

Noticing how I felt, noticing my energy, noticing my mornings, noticing what's changed and changing, and something interesting happened and is happening.

I started watching the sunrise instead of reaching for my phone, listening to the birds instead of being distracted by headlines first thing in the morning.

One change, one habit, just actually is really changing the rhythm of my day.

And once I noticed that, I started wondering, what else have I been overlooking? That's really what this summer experiment situation has become.
