we've got a lot to cover, a lot to cover after what was a kind of big night at Celtic, it was reminiscent of the night Brendan Rodgers resigned and Dermot Desmond without putting his name at the bottom of a statement this time has effectively used the official club website as a forum for himself, as a message board for him to put all his thoughts out there, there has been threats of bans for Celtic supporters who were involved Let's quickly run through what happened, shall we, yesterday.

Basically what happened at St Andrews Golf Course was Celtic supporters protested towards Dermot Desmond by soft lobbing a few tennis balls at the guy.

So here's the video here, as you can see he's trying his best to laugh it off, unaffected as he knows his billionaire pals watch on.

but a few tennis balls lobbed in his way, it wasn't bricks, it wasn't golf balls, it wasn't anything with malice or intent to harm the guy, a few tennis balls lobbed at him because, you know, Celtic fans don't get the chance to protest Air Mac Desmond in front of his very face, in front of him as he's there because, why? Because, well, he's never at Celtic Park, he's never at his own AGM, the only time that you get Dermot Desmond on these shores it feels like is when he's up for a round of golf, so Celtic fans took that opportunity yesterday to voice their disapproval of the principal shareholder, the owner of the club if you like, which he isn't, but anyway, we'll leave it there, and that of course invoked a reaction from Dermot Desmond last night, you can tell he was totally embarrassed, humiliated, as he was a, you know, put there in front of everybody in front of all of his mates in that fashion and of course that spawned this late night reaction from the club unsigned of course if you scroll to the very bottom there is no sign of a signatory, it doesn't say anything about Dermot, Ross, Michael Nicholson, Brian Wilson, whoever you may think, it's clear this is a statement that has been, I don't believe for a second that Dermot himself has wrote it, because I don't think Dermot does any of his own work at this point of his life and career, he's probably got a lackey to write it for him, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Ross, but it's clearly been instructed it's clearly been instructed by Dermot Desmond to be put together and the statement basically comes out and says, you embarrassed me at the golf, I'm going to take out my anger on yous, I'm going to ban supporters and a lot of lies in between as well, you know, a lot of lies in terms of good faith engagement with the Celtic fans collective which has been, you know, meeting after meeting of shoulders being shrugged and answers hidden from supporters and all these different things I mean, there are some cracking lines.

The last line in itself, I'm not going to go through it verbatim again, I've done that in last night's video and it's a fucking long statement, as we've all seen by now.

the reputation of Celtic Football Club is non-negotiable, the reputation of Celtic Football Club which has been ruined on a European and international capacity in terms of competition since Peter Mcdesmond got all that control and power those years ago, and I have a couple of great lines in it, where's the one, the one that cracked me up the most, like he just had to fit it in, I don't know why, where can I, hold on if I can do a control F here, Where is it? Where is the line I'm looking for? Here we go.

We're taking protests beyond Celtic Park and beyond football to the home of golf.

Look, we could dissect this statement paragraph by paragraph, point out the faults, point out the problems in it, the lies in it, and the complete and utter narcissism that's running through it.

But it's hilarious, and of course now the social media reaction has been vast, and then we're waiting to find out the updates of what comes next, what supporters are going to get bans apparently, what comes at the...

This is a... a really big moment it feels like right now in the current ownership slash just kind of position Celtic find themselves in, and I'm very intrigued as to where this goes between now and the AGM, because the AGM is obviously due at the beginning of November, this is going to be addressed at the AGM, but this is the first, this is like, you know, we have seen protests have an effect on Celtic, right? We know that not another penny has worked because Celtic have lost money, they've had to hide merchandise revenues numbers in their statements because they're embarrassed to put it out there and we know that these protests have worked, we know that they worked against Dundee and the Cup, we saw the outcry that came following that and the kind of rallying calls from Brian Wilson, he promised to do this, that and the next thing, they worked, they were effective However, this is the first piece of evidence I truly think that, and correct me if I'm wrong, this is the first thing that I think has happened that has clearly got under the skin of Dermot Desmond, and why? Because it bothered him at the gulf, and there was a great tweet put up earlier and I believe it was from Craig of Celtsar here, who effectively said along the lines of, for years Celtic have went through moments which should have invoked a response from the principal chairholder, there's things that have happened, we've been knocked out of competitions, and we've heard nothing from Dermot, we've seen him not at Celtic Park.
