Andy DixonHOST
2:11
to be honest, there's no real point going into recapping everything.
Andy DixonHOST
2:17
Obviously, we took a thumping at Parkhead.
Andy DixonHOST
2:19
We went to Turkey.
Andy DixonHOST
2:21
We lost more players in injuries.
Michael GannonPANELIST
26:04
I'm looking forward to it.
Michael GannonPANELIST
26:06
It's a good clash, isn't it? Mind you, we thought that with Hearts going to Parkhead last week.
Michael GannonPANELIST
26:11
As my old coach would call it, an eight-goal thriller.
Keith JacksonPANELIST
26:19
LAUGHTER

7 MINS LATER

Keith JacksonPANELIST
33:34
Right, well, let me take the kind of...
Keith JacksonPANELIST
33:39
The question marks away from that one down.
Keith JacksonPANELIST
33:41
Celtic will beat Dundee United at Celtic Park.
Keith JacksonPANELIST
33:44
So the question is, what is the gap at the end of that? Is it still four points because Rangers have won at Tyne Castle or has it become seven? And if it has become seven, then the Celtic fans are absolutely right to start getting excited because that starts to look like a difficult gap for Rangers to claw back in spite of their progression and their improvements.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
13:27
You can't exactly write hearts off at this moment in time.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
13:31
To be fair to hearts, after the pummeling they got at Celtic Park, they've reacted pretty well.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
13:38
Third part's never an easy place to go.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
13:40
They get a good three points there.

14 MINS LATER

Barry FergusonPANELIST
27:38
And obviously, Big Andy's a well-known figure.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
27:43
He does the whole back, that's for sure.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
27:45
But I know him well, I was actually at Celtic Park with him.
Barry FergusonPANELIST
27:48
the last game before the international what was
TinoHOST
20:40
We lost two goals in quick succession.
TinoHOST
20:42
I think it was in the space of just three minutes to hand Celta Vigo the victory at Celtic Park.
TinoHOST
20:46
Question for you, James.
TinoHOST
20:47
Why do we keep seeing the same shortcomings in Europe and is it a mentality thing as much as anything else?

22 MINS LATER

TinoHOST
43:04
yeah there you go so that is this week's
MiffHOST
43:07
just to confirm it's definitely free
TinoHOST
43:11
okay let's look at the bigger picture in terms of the week ahead for Celtic as mentioned Dundee United at Celtic Park on Wednesday Falkirk away on Sunday question is what are you expecting from these two fixtures James Dundee United unbeaten in five three wins and two draws during that time what are you thinking for Wednesday night Big win against Aberdeen for them, that was
JamesPANELIST
43:28
a real...
ReidzoHOST
18:14
And I hope that the next two this week against Us United and Falkirk will be much better games with better series performances.
StevieHOST
18:20
Yeah, so Dundee United on Wednesday at Celtic Park.
StevieHOST
18:24
They won on Saturday against Aberdeen at home.
StevieHOST
18:26
Pretty entertaining game from what I saw on Sports Scene, and it was a 3-2 win with a winner coming from Sapsford in the 72nd minute.
ReidzoHOST
19:22
They're, like, unbeaten in five.
StevieHOST
19:26
I don't know if it'll be a difficult game, Reeds, though.
StevieHOST
19:28
I think Dundee United's record at Celtic Park is utter, utter dogshit.
StevieHOST
19:33
It's usually a very comprehensive pace thing that we give them.
Ryan CliffordHOST
2:43
We're sitting eighth at the time, but we'd expect to compete, mate.
Ryan CliffordHOST
2:48
Um, especially at Celtic Park.
Ryan CliffordHOST
2:50
Did we compete, Daniel? Slightly in the first half, but I think overall, mate, it was pretty concerning and not a good start to this Europa League campaign, mate.
DanielHOST
3:01
No, definitely not.
DanielHOST
3:02
Uh, it's another kind of a disappointing defeat, shall we say, in a long list.
DanielHOST
3:08
Listen, I don't-- Celtic-Vigo are a good side, but I, personally, I don't think they showed that at Celtic Park.
DanielHOST
3:15
Um, I think Celtic definitely started off on the front foot in the game.
DanielHOST
3:20
We managed to get ourselves 1-0 up with a good goal from, obviously, Mika Bower.
Frank McAvennieHOST
2:41
And I remember seeing the full force of Tommy.
Frank McAvennieHOST
2:46
when we beat Struan Ra 1-0 and I scored and we were awful Celtic Park started first game of the cup we beat them 1-0 went on to win it but that game was terrible they should have won it
Simon HoustonHOST
2:58
that's about January 88 or something wasn't it
Frank McAvennieHOST
3:00
Tommy went off his head and all the senior boys were all arguing with each other and I'm thinking we've just won because I'm celebrating fuck it's not about winning we've got to win a certain way these boys are paying good money and it sinks in the boys are paying good money to go and watch and that pissing rain and that wind and you put on a performance like that I mean I just I'll take the win I always want to win I always want Celtic to win obviously I'll take it but there's ways listen seeing skills take a two yard free kick to the goalkeeper done it for me When did we start playing that kind of football? Come on.

12 MINS LATER

Frank McAvennieHOST
15:46
We've got teams that are coming on to us.
Frank McAvennieHOST
15:48
And it's getting harder and harder.
Frank McAvennieHOST
15:49
Everyone used to be scared coming to Celtic Park.
Frank McAvennieHOST
15:52
Nobody's scared
Ryan StevenHOST
2:47
But let's talk about Celtic, it's back to business as usual here on the channel.
Ryan StevenHOST
2:51
So here is the league table after matchday 10 in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic maintain their four point lead over Rangers at the top of the table after of course both sides won this past weekend, but things could chop and change very quickly this week in the league because there is some big games, Celtic of course host Dundee United at Celtic Park on Wednesday night and while that's happening, a huge game as Rangers play hearts so it's massive a lot could change this week in Scottish football and you know I think a lot of people are hanging their hats on maybe Rangers slipping up and dropping some points but Dundee United have hit form and right now a lot of people would tell you they're comfortably looking like the fourth best team in the country I don't think that's going to be easy especially when you look at how poor we were yesterday but at the end of all the storms at the end of the 90 minutes what mattered most was three points and Martin O'Neill was full of praise for his players in getting those three points, despite fans, slightly more cynical fans like myself, feeling like there was a lot to be desired from yesterday.
Ryan StevenHOST
3:59
So let's kick off with looking at what the manager had to say because some of the comments have sparked some debate online.
Ryan StevenHOST
4:06
So Martin O'Neill said to Sky Sports following the game that he thought given the circumstances, given the fact that we didn't play all that well, I thought it was our best win of the season.

11 MINS LATER

Ryan StevenHOST
15:43
We might hear results of that later on this evening, if not tomorrow.
Ryan StevenHOST
15:47
I don't expect Celtic to win in this appeal, but just to let you know, the appeal is happening.
Ryan StevenHOST
15:52
So Celtic are going through that stadium pan, of course, to appeal the punishment, ordering the next Scottish Cup tie at Celtic Park to be played behind closed doors that will be heard today Monday the 26th of October the SFA will of course hear that and we'll see what happens from there of course that's in relation to what happened at Ibrox in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup last season not going to get into it all because I think it's very boring to cover but yeah we'll see if Celtic win that appeal yeah there you go that's happening simple as that Right, that about does it for today then.
Ryan StevenHOST
16:32
Not an awful lot in the way of news.
GlenHOST
55:19
And of course, as we've touched on in terms of the visitors, they come up here in fine form.
GlenHOST
55:25
Their away form has also been extremely solid and played 5-1-1, three draws and only lost at Celtic Park, which Scott Bain had a huge hand in.
GlenHOST
55:34
that defeat that day as well and only going down 2-1 as well so certainly not a disrespectful scoreline at Parkhead as compared to others scoring five goals away from home and conceding five at the same time the other thing that for me that stood out looking at Falkirk's form this season is the fact they've scored in every game bar the opening two games of the season as well so I think as that comment from Michael Taylor says, they're certainly not going to make it easy for us on Wednesday.
GlenHOST
56:07
They're a decent side, agree Michael, but they're also a side coming up with full of confidence and full capability of finding the back of the net.
Bobby MaddenGUEST
40:13
So this is the inconsistency of people.
Bobby MaddenGUEST
40:15
So if you show that and say, why was there no intervention there? Old firm game at Celtic Park, Johnson, oh, we've supported a yellow card, then this.
Bobby MaddenGUEST
40:22
So that's a problem.
Bobby MaddenGUEST
40:24
You're looking at different situations.
