David FrielAUDIENCE
13:53
Pains me to say it, but they saw the weakness in the centre of the madfield, weren't right through us.
David FrielAUDIENCE
13:59
Alex Locks led Chamberlain wasn't allowed out of harm he's more your kind of Scott Brown kind of new learning kind of player he's a clever clever player
Roger HannahPANELIST
14:07
Who would you leave out David to make way for him?
David FrielAUDIENCE
14:10
Oh Negan he's a luxury player he's a luxury player don't get me wrong I don't like slagging the guy off because I think he's a brilliant footballer I'm not slagging him off I'm just saying If you want to get better, you need that Oxlade-Chamberlain and set it in the midfield and drop back Negrin, put him on the bench.
Roger HannahPANELIST
15:17
But I don't think Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is necessarily a destroyer either.
Roger HannahPANELIST
15:21
Celtic need someone... with more athleticism in the middle of the park a direct replacement for Arnie Engles they didn't sign one in the January window Martin he was admitted they didn't sign one sorry in the summer window Martin he was admitted as much they'll try and do it in January I think to get someone in to strengthen it but I'm not sure Oxlade-Chamberlain is necessarily at this stage of his career an upgrade on Nigren or Bower
Gordon DuncanHOST
15:47
Why do you think it is, David, that we've seen so little of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? Because I'm not sure the guys fully agree with you that he's a Neil Lennon or a Scott Brown, but he has not played much, has he? Are you surprised at that?
David FrielAUDIENCE
15:58
I suppose I just can't get my head around it, but I couldn't get my head around how he and Nacho couldn't get a game either.
Paul CooneyHOST
51:17
and in hour two Charlie you're up for speaking about who what's going to happen should Celtic drop him for a period of time try to get his confidence back and get him back in or should he continue to dip in and dip out what would you do what would you say to the Celtic fans
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
51:32
personally I just know what I would like as a player I think you need taking out the limelight I think it's commendable that he keeps stepping up and being on the pitch of course that's his job that's what he's paid to do but I think he's taking a side and just kind of come on for the last 10-15 minutes and hopefully a chance drops to him or he gains his confidence through training and getting the 10 minutes because right now nothing's falling for him he's completely gone confidence wise and I've been there I've been there it's not a nice place to be and But I spoke to Scott Brown today about it and he disagreed.
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
52:10
He thinks that he should stay in the team and continue to get through his confidence.
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
52:15
Everybody's got different views on it, Paul.

12 MINS LATER

Barry FergusonPANELIST
63:54
Good question That's a good question I think they're pretty strong probably I wouldn't look to strengthen at this moment in time
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
64:02
For me Celtic need a midfielder that's a holding midfielder like a Wanyama or a Brown type for me a destroyer in there would really benefit Celtic if I had to pick one
Paul CooneyHOST
64:11
You saw Scott Brown today is he fit or is it just five years too late Michael what do you think? Good question, Richard.
Paul CooneyHOST
64:18
If there was one position you would add to, because you're not saying take out the goalkeeper.
Tam McManusPANELIST
8:17
There's not really that type of player that you can see.
Tam McManusPANELIST
8:19
Even a Scott Brown, you know, who would go and dig people out, but that, that's probably gone from the game now.
Tam McManusPANELIST
8:24
But I just, I just thought it was a strange decision f- from, from the new manager at Hibs to come in and, and change the captain.
Tam McManusPANELIST
8:30
I mean, I've, I've...
Simon HoustonHOST
5:03
Right.
Frank McAvennieHOST
5:05
Oxlade-Chamberlain, he's not kept his game, but it wasn't Scott Brown's game.
Frank McAvennieHOST
5:10
You've got to sit in
Simon HoustonHOST
5:10
there.

13 MINS LATER

Frank McAvennieHOST
18:07
He's playing in front of the number six and passing the ball and doing all the wee passes but going forward, not back.
Simon HoustonHOST
18:12
Callum McGregor's best period at Celtic was probably under Brendan Rodgers when he was an attacking midfielder and he was scoring goals left, right and centre.
Simon HoustonHOST
18:21
And he had, yeah, you're right, he had Scott Brown there just behind him.
Simon HoustonHOST
18:25
But do you think it's a danger that he's going to damage his legacy? I think so.
Paul John DykesHOST
19:27
So there we go.
Paul John DykesHOST
19:28
We were in Scott Brown territory last night.
Paul John DykesHOST
19:30
It was brilliant.
Paul John DykesHOST
19:31
So you're back four, consisting of Donovan, Tierney, Murray and Scales.
BazHOST
26:25
You know, many, many names are being linked.
BazHOST
26:27
Scott Brown, Neil Lennon, obviously.
BazHOST
26:30
I mentioned Kilduff.
BazHOST
26:32
I keep hearing whispers that were set on the Waterford manager himself.
Brian DegnanPANELIST
45:14
Yeah.
Brian DegnanPANELIST
45:14
You know, midfield should be putting themselves about like Scott Brown.
Brian DegnanPANELIST
45:18
He was always in people's heads and ears.
Brian DegnanPANELIST
45:20
I know you don't need to be Scott Brown, but...
Paul John DykesHOST
45:22
Did you hear Wiltshire talking about him last week? Eh? Did you hear Jack Wiltshire talking
Brian DegnanPANELIST
45:26
about him? Jack Wiltshire.
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
46:11
That's true, yeah.
Charlie MulgrewPANELIST
46:12
Scott Brown's done, Joe Hart's done it before.
Paul CooneyHOST
46:14
All right, okay.
Paul CooneyHOST
46:15
Rubbing it in that Mark and I are not.
Daniel CawHOST
17:48
Just let me throw a few more comments at you, Keith, because time's getting on.
Daniel CawHOST
17:51
Green Machine says, Scott Brown, Bobo Wilde, guys like them, just with their names on the team sheet, put the fear, I think it means on the opponents, they laugh at our team sheet now.
Daniel CawHOST
17:59
Ross says, Celtic need to face Europe, we're a small team in Europe, lack quality to compete.
Daniel CawHOST
18:03
Tom says, Durant and Hassan are in a game for 10 minutes and go missing for 10.
Paul John DykesHOST
63:49
Would you throw any others in there that I've not mentioned? Like the madness and chaos of a Tommy Graveson, the panache of a Massimo Donati.
John Paul MasonPANELIST
63:58
nah I don't think they're worthy of being top 10 I think that's a fairly solid top 10 and you cannae really argue with Scott Brown I mean what 4 million quid and how many seasons how many trophies how many absolute slap downs of Rangers players it's pretty good when you hear him talking about his career and folk ask him and he sort of speaks quite candidly about how easy it was to get into Morelos' head and
Paul John DykesHOST
64:26
He'd done it so often, you know, Morelos, Joey Barton.
Paul John DykesHOST
64:29
Who else did it? Shea Logan was one of his favourites, wasn't it? So, yeah, Juth, of course, where the famous Bruni was born.
