So Musashi returns to town after defeating the Sculpian, and there's ominous music playing everywhere.
We ask the mayor what's up, and he says that the town has been invaded by half-zombie, half-vampire monstrosities called vampies.
They look more like werewolves to me.
yeah they
they i know that they're not werewolves because there are werewolves in chapter four but they are like they don't look like half zombie half uh vampire they look like half zombie half like elf or something like they have these big long like triangular ears they do
look like some shit you'd see in warcraft
yeah these monsters mysteriously emerge from the bar i mean restaurant every single night and worse they have attacked the grocery store owner's son tim and he's fallen very very sick the only thing that will help tim is remedy a strong medicine but its ingredients are hard to find luckily we have two people who can go gather the ingredients
oh yeah this will be easy
Hotello from the Inn volunteers to go to Twin Peak to get something called Aqualyn so that we don't have to go do the same dungeon a fourth time, and Musashi will go to the mine to get a Mysterio flower.
The mine has been locked off because it's filled with very poisonous benchatite gas, but Musashi will be fine.
He's got expensive antidotes and limited inventory space.
This won't be annoying at all.
Musashi gets the key from Wid, the old man who lives at the windmill, and Wid tells him that the flower is on the shore of the lake in the mine, but it only blooms in the middle of the night.
And Musashi, sure that he understands what that means, heads off into the mine.
you get to the mine there's a sign that says reservoir to the left and the mine to the right well we're headed to the lake so maybe he just meant the reservoir and sure enough there is a large conspicuous area on the shore of the reservoir so musashi kicks back and naps until the middle of the night and it nothing happens So they did say that the lake was in the mine.
So let's
go the other
route.
A short test to see if you have run ahead enabled on your emulator awaits us jumping over mining equipment that are either over bottomless pits or poison swatter or spikes or a combination of the three.
Bottomless spikes.
Bottomless pits.
Bottomless pits.
Halfway through, Musashi drops down off a conspicuously just out of reach ledge that we could totally get over if only we had a double jump and floats over a large fan with darkness underneath it.
And since the darkness at the bottom of the screen has been death the whole dungeon so far, Musashi just floats across and keeps going through an even more difficult platforming section, getting poisoned like crazy.
Why would you think to go? Is there an NPC somewhere that tells you to go down the fan maybe? Not that I found.
