Infinite Undiscovery

I was really hoping that, uh, Infinite Undiscovery would have a similarly bonkers Japanese title that I could, uh, use when, like, posting about the, the poll or whatever, but it turns out Infinite Undiscovery was already wacky enough.

it, they, it, like, it didn't get de-wackied i- when, uh, being brought over to the West.

It was just that's the level of wacky is it's gonna be called Infinite Undiscovery.

But we're not playing that.

absolutely but um speaking of next week being the final week for the first time in a while the poll for what game we're playing next is tied like the last couple of times we thought it would be tied we thought it would be close and then one of the games just ran away with it this one it is absolutely tied so if you have not voted you should head on over to www.rpgbook.club throw us a dollar or two Vote in the polls.

you all have very strong opinions about these games.

Yeah, I love Tri-Ace, as we mentioned earlier in the episode.

We mentioned my love for Star Ocean.

And so if I were picking a game to play, I would probably pick Infinite Undiscovery.

But if I want to do the bit where I play every game of FromSoftware that it's the least like a From game as possible, that would be hilarious.

We'll wrap up the short games in next year's best of the rest.

So, yeah, instead of good games, you get to choose between us playing Enchanted Arms or Infinite Undiscovery.

I've watched the trailers for both of these games earlier today.

They are Xbox 360 games through and through.

Yeah.

At one point in the trailer for Infinite Undiscovery, a guy does an attack and he yells out the name of the attack.

And I could swear the name of the attack he yelled was Innuendo Drive.

That's great.

I feel like some RPGs from around this era kind of tried to ape the look of this game.

I can see Final Fantasy X in Baten Kaitos or Infinite Undiscovery or even Final Fantasy XIII, but the design of Final Fantasy X feels so singular even today.

Once upon a time, I did think that, well, this is going to be the aesthetic of the new millennium.

Everything in the 2000s would just be like Final Fantasy X.
