I, I'm, I was really curious because my last, uh, really bad crash was in Arkansas, and of course, the wind had something to do with that, but I had a series of really bad crashes on the jumps leading up to that.
I had been a, a, a pretty good jumper.
Yeah.
But it really became apparent that I was dead sailoring.
I was, uh, the ultimate dead sailor.
Some people would say I was dead sailor of the year.
Legendary, yeah.
[laughs]
Um, I won't say that game.
Of the year.
[laughs]
I won't say that game.
I, show me a better dead sailor.
You know what I mean? I had this dead sailor technique perfected.
Yeah.
Um, but I out-jumped that skill.
I started to go on [laughs] bigger and steeper jumps to where if I wasn't, if I was leaning back It was really dangerous, and I did start to have a series of crashes.
Yeah.
And so we started talking about being more centered, and, and that always works on the bike.
That no matter what you're riding, being centered and aggressively centered I think always works.
And on jumps, I was pushing back with that fear response, and so I s- really started working, as soon as we got to Phoenix, you and I got to Arizona, we started working on getting me in front of the seat and get- breaking the glass with my, my chin and, and shoulders, and, and being aggressive and forward.
And I just...
I've been practicing that as much as I can in the Valley, 'cause we don't have a ton of jumps.
Yeah.
And it works.
