Buddy, I thought my notes and all the comments and everything were gone, and I was like, "Oh, [bleep] this then." Oh, man.
Uh, and this week I'm crossing my '90s console war enemy lines and talking some Sega Genesis with Road Rash II from Electronic Arts.
If you remember a time when EA wasn't just instantly associated with greasy and gaming, your back probably hurts when you wake up in the morning.
Or even just seeing the Electronic Arts, like, name on a box, like with Road Rash II, didn't instantly just make you think, "Well, this is gonna [bleep] suck." They were good.
I know you younger listeners aren't gonna believe me, but I tell you, there's a time where EA was good.
There was a kid that lived across the street from us that had a Panasonic 3DO, and I'd go over there to play Road Rash.
And if the day ever comes where we're gonna cover a 3DO game here on the show, it will be Road Rash.
And then, uh, my friends and I used to play a lot of Road Rash 64 in high school as well.
But I never played the OGs, like the Genesis Road Rash, until a couple weeks ago when I fired this one up on my Genesis Mini.
I was looking for a Sega game, uh, to toss in the pan while I work my way through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
And I'm not gonna bullshit you, my friends, I have put probably over 15 hours into it at this point, and I still can't get past the third set of races.
