They were, what do we divide from? How do we practice being a good witness? How do we love each other? How do we love the lost? What was the worship of the church to look like? What was to be avoided? what was to be confronted, and how to do it.

And he patiently, in four letters, two that we have in our New Testament, in multiple visits to the Corinthian church.

And listen, there are two places in 1 Corinthians where he gives them a focused, clear, simple mission statement that they ought to have adopted for life.

And I wanna read those two places for you as our main text to think about this glory-centered joy.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you whom you have from God? You are not your own.

The second place where Paul gives this kind of focus, simple, clear mission statement to this church that he loved that he gave lots of instruction to, but gave just these overarching theme of how they're to live.

As an anecdote, my friends, to self-love and to self-glory and to self-worship, which all is just idolatry, Paul wraps his arms around these, I just call them these all-of-life statements.
