... um, I mean, it's literally the 30th of June right now when we're recording this, and, um, two and a half-ish weeks ago, we found out the really sad news about our friend Mikael Montz-

... taking his own life four weeks after Saunders and I had had lovely conversations with him at the finale.

And not that I want to be like, "Oh, we were best friends," and everything, but genuinely incredibly upsetting when I found out.

Yeah, I believe he was the only alumni who actually came over to talk to us at the finale.

We talked to other alumni, but I think he was the only one who walked over to us, if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, so he made eye contact with me and I- and mouthed the word "podcast, question mark," and then I went over and spoke to him and Bernard, and then I think you came over.

Oh, well, I, I...

What I remember is I know you two talked first, but he came over to our seat.

Maybe he-- You guys were talking, I wasn't even aware that you'd already gone over to talk to them first.

Yeah.

But yeah, incredibly sad news.

I mean, the news came out literally four weeks after the finale.

It was about 5:00 in the UK, and at half five every Sunday I go over to my parents for, uh, for tea when they're in the country for a, a Sunday roast.

And my, [chuckles] my mum was genuinely worried about me.

She sent me a text on the Tuesday afterwards being like, "Are you all right?" 'Cause like half an hour before she'd seen me on the Sunday, uh, I, I found about, found out about Mikael and then, uh, I was obviously a little bit sad on the Sunday evening.

So yeah, she, uh, she texted me to check in on the Tuesday just to make sure I was, I was okay, which is very sweet of her.

Aw.

Yeah.

Very, very, very sad.

Very, very sad news.
