That sucks." Also, I'm so, I'm, I'm getting excited for Survivor.

It airs on Wednesday night.

Season 51.

There, you know, when you watch so much reality television that is just like straight narrative, when you throw a reality competition series in the mix, it is so exciting because it is exciting to put yourself in that position to think of how you would play that game and all of these underhanded, backhanded mo- you know, moves that these players do.

And it's gotten so much more aggressive over the years if you think about it.

If you watch that first season of Survivor, which was excellent, but they weren't making all of these moves that players now, you know, with the, with the new era of players, the, the, the moves that they make just so they can become like known in the game.

And sometimes I wish they would go back to this...

Yeah, these are good questions.

Uh, big American Survivor fan.

Watched the first 41 seasons.

I remember making a top 50 cast list.

Uh, look, top, I don't know, I don't know what the top 10 would be but off the top of my head I know who's in the top 10.

That's Russell, it's Coach, it is Boston Rob, it's Parvati.

Um, and then Aussie Survivor, I'll, I'll maybe throw, uh, what's his face in, the crazy Macedonian guy.

George.

It's just a game of hurry up and wait at this point, and we all know it.

You know, there's a reason Survivor has the Final Five.

It all happened on one night.

Yes.

everybody.

it's interesting so first off while i'm thinking about it um they have officially announced a schedule change for the week um thursday is now a two-hour episode and there is no episode on friday which means the thursday episode will likely be the eviction uh for the final four into the final three so keep in mind of that which does mean our thursday coverage uh will be a bit later than normal due to the extended episode just like it was this past week

I just fixed the schedule for Survivor, and now I have to go back and fix it again for Big Brother.

Which I know.

She's been in the podcasting news the last few weeks.

Yeah, she was on Survivor, which was awesome.

And we talked about that in this episode.

But we had a great episode.

There are not too many repeat offenders.

So, well, you've had some big things cooking in your world.

And I'm sure you've been talking a lot about this over the last year and a half, but you were on a little TV show recently called Survivor.

And I want to kick things off.

Night Katie is a totally different person.

And even though Katie got voted out first in Survivor, that's totally different than Night Katie.

Night Katie doesn't care.

That doesn't matter.

You know, here, here's the, what's incredible about Jeff.

Um, this is year 26 of Survivor-

... and here he is to be out here to get everybody hyped up about season 51 of the show.

Once fans started voting, and it came in like they want advantages, they want idols, then we just said, "We're, uh, we're going big."

Yeah.

And the thing we said to the s- the Survivor 50 players was, "If you, if you birth this kinda chaos, then we'll take it into 51.

And if you don't, we'll do it on our own." But they did, and it was really the way they attacked the game that made us feel like, I think we can have a bigger idea, and let players just go.

I'm your host Gibson Johns and today we have a surprise mini episode where we are going to break down the newly announced cast for season five of The Traitor's U.S. Celebrity Edition.

The Traitor's New Blood just premiered on Thursday and then Friday is peacock announced the full cast for the celebrity edition which will air next year they are presumably going to film soon given that it was announced and um as usual to help me break down the traders cast which we've done several times in the past couple years is sharon tharp sharon is a long-time journalist who has covered you know all things celebrity and reality tv and more specifically competition shows big brother and survivor and shows like that are really her bread and butter And so I always appreciate having her on to sort of balance out the point of view that I can bring to the traders.

I also watch Survivor and Big Brother, but she's a true expert in those fields.

So I bring my Bravo mind to the conversation and she brings her competition mind to the equation.

I think we do a good job of covering most of our bases.
