This is not what we expected…

Now, we have a bit of an interesting story to go over to start off today's video, and that is that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford had some very kind words to say about his young tight end Terrence Ferguson after he had some great moments in Week 2, but also had a couple of balls that he definitely should have hauled in, thrown his way.

So Matthew Stafford had some words to say, and we're getting into that right now.

Actually, I think that is the wrong quote.

I have tons of trust and confidence in all the guys that we have out there, said Stafford.

These guys have earned their spots and have earned the opportunity to get targets and passes thrown their way.

I'm not going to hit everybody in stride all the time, too.

I'm going to miss some.

Sometimes there's initial challenging or frustration in these moments, but at the same time, as football players, we're programmed to move on to the next one and believe in each other and trust each other and trust your fundamentals.

Again, I think Matthew Stafford here talking about some of the passes that he believes that Terrence Ferguson should have hauled in.

Again, were some of those a little bit misthrown from Stafford? Yes, but at the end of the day, Terrence Ferguson definitely should have caught those passes.

But I really like to hear that Matthew Stafford has a lot of belief in Terrence Ferguson, and I... fully believe Matthew Stafford when he says this because Terrence Ferguson showed in spurts as a rookie last year just how dangerous he can be for this Rams passing attack and we didn't see it a lot as a rookie especially in the playoffs as he was dealing with an injury down the stretch of last season but Week one, they didn't see it at all.

Josh and I, a lot of you in the comments called out that we didn't see enough of him against the Niners.

Week two against the Giants, with Puka out, we did see a lot more Terrence Ferguson being involved in the pass game, which is why the Rams drafted him.

And Matthew Stafford had some more words to say as well about his young tight end that we're going to get to right now.

He's a bright spot for our team.

He's a young player that's still coming into his own.

He's going to be a very good player for a long time in this league.
