Ep 111 - Lost Children of the Amazon

uh i wish i could say the same oh honestly um not so much the podcast i like doing the podcast it's there's been a lot that's happened since we've been gone uh just within the last couple weeks there have been two people that have been murdered by ice and that's john sebastian duran guerrero and lorenzo salgado and i kind of just wanted to take a moment to just acknowledge that These people are gone.

They were brothers.

They were dads.

It's very sad because when I think about it, they remind me of my dad or one of my uncles or one of my cousins.

It feels very unfair.

It feels very unwarranted.

I can't believe in this day and age people can actually sit here and say that it isn't racially motivated anymore.

Yeah.

I don't know.

I feel very, I'm trying to be very positive, but I feel very, very sad.

I feel very hopeless.

And I think when we feel like this, it's time that I think we need to find support, find support from those around us, from our family members, our family, our chosen family.

And take care of one another because these people were just out and they never made it home.

Yeah.

And I don't want to sensationalize it.

Like I don't want to.

be disrespectful because these are so like these people just passed away but i feel like it's very important to talk about it with what what's going on right now and i want to remind everybody that we have those resources and are all my links in our instagram that talk about what to do if ICE shows up at your place of employment, your home while you're out.

There's a resource in English and in Spanish.

And then we've got a couple of resources where you can donate to that actually help people that have been I mean, taken by ICE.

Yep.

I think right now is as good a time as any.

If you are able to, please donate.

Please donate.

Below that are support Palestine links are still there, Doctors Without Borders, and then we have one other one.

And please, if you can, donate.
