And so the South China Morning Post reporter had a privileged access to an article by professors from the Northwestern Polytechnical University, a well-known center for People's Liberation Army research and development.

This is a rare expression from Chinese academia, much less the larger Chinese, very controlled, very censored digital space.

Now, football obviously has its own rules.

You've got profit and sustainability rules, squad cost, SCMP, where you try to cap losses or you try to cap spending and those sorts of things.

That is very different.

And I'm sorry, with those types of rules, you've still seen Derby and Reading and Sheffield Wednesday.

It's going to look at the money that's coming in and going out.

And the part of the reason why we did it that way, and the IFR is not going to take over squad cost or SCMP, but the part of the reason we did that is I think we probably would have had a UEFA problem if we'd done it.

The easy ones are the ones, that is the low-hanging fruit, are the ones who as national news brands, they were just... stifled by print they were just I mean the New York Times was just bursting to get out of the United States the Guardian was bursting to get out of the United States the UK newspapers South China Morning Post bursting to get out of that that little inlet in Hong Kong to be mainland China's portal onto the world so those who were able to easily develop a second face I mean, the New York Times is an interesting one.

It was a very smart local newspaper for New York until 1996.

Its CEO, its owner basically said, no, we're going to go national.

And that context matters when people claim China has its own secret UAP program.
