Spiritual Warfare Pt. 2 (Waging Through Warfare week 4)

Now, whenever you're battling an enemy, you need to know three things.

One, their mission.

Two, their method of attack or methods of attack.

And three, how you're going to counter them.

Because if you know what they're trying to accomplish, how they accomplish it and how to counter it, then you become deadly.

So first, let's get into Satan's mission.

Satan's primary goal isn't to just make your life miserable.

It isn't to ruin your circumstances.

It isn't even to just kill you.

His ultimate goal is humanity's eternal destruction.

Because if he does all the above, he makes your life miserable.

He takes away your job, takes away your house, fill in the blank before eternity.

You spend your life with God.

He still loses in the end.

His primary goal is to get humans in hell with him.

Why? Because Satan from the beginning has had a problem with God, not us.

But unfortunately for him, he can't touch God.

But.

Since he can't get to God, he can't touch him.

He's going to try to touch what God loves most, which is us.

Now, the ultimate way to hurt somebody by going after what they love is to separate them from that forever.

In Second Thessalonians one, eight through nine, it reads, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These people will pay the penalty of eternal destruction.

away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his power.

This is the death that Satan wields according to Hebrews 2.14. That's why Satan, day and night, accuses us before God.
