I wanna say none of these world records we expected, but the-- I'm gonna say Marrit Steenbergen's 100 free we kind of did.
The 50 meters freestyle, the best 200 meters breaststroker in the world, in my opinion, right now, had, had the 50 free world record for, I think, nine days.
Nine, 10 days, yeah.
She goes a 23.59, and that is, of course, the great American, Kate Douglas, the most versatile swimmer on the planet.
I believe.
Um, I know Leon Marchand is stunning at all four strokes of swimming, but he doesn't quite have the sprint range that Kate Douglas has and the distance range that she has as well.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Um, she's always been an outstanding 50 meters freestyler, and at the Indianapolis Pro Series to go this time, um, caught a lot of people by surprise.
Even though she is a fantastic sprinter, I don't think this world record was on the horizon for her.
I don't think so, no, because I'm trying to go back, uh, to the memory time banks that I have in my head.
Mm.

I believe, something like that.
So she's dropped like .3, .4 to get that world record swim, which is unheard of.
And I think at the time Gretchen Walsh also went underneath that time with 23.7, I think it was.

So just dropping masses amounts over a 50 meter swim, she shouldn't be doing really.
Um, but what got me by surprise, the underwater work is Gretchen Walsh's sort of bread and butter, I would say.
