FINA Swimming World Cup

Leon Marchand just took care of it during the 2024 World Cup.

He also did lower that American record during the 2025 Swimming World Cup, beating out Leon Marchand in a very quick race.

And during the 2025 World Championships, again, to bring up Shane Casas racing Leon Marchand, who of course they raced all the time swimming and training at Texas together, he dropped a ridiculously quick 200 IM during the 2025 World Championships, winning the silver medal behind Leon Marchand as he just inched up further and further the all-time performers list.

And it will be interesting to see what Casas is able to get up to after this move and where he even lands.

For some, even if they didn't like a lot of the show that the ISL brought, they at least appreciated that it meant that there was another series of meets to watch their favorite swimmers at.

And it's also interesting to note that the ISL, it wasn't, you know, based on country like we would be used to at the Olympics or World Championships or even, you know, the Swimming World Cup, where you see a lot of swimmers representing mostly their nationality.

They had their own teams that could be made up of a bunch of different swimmers from different countries, which allowed us to see some kind of cool combinations on relays for swimmers that we would normally never see swim together.

but the isl had their three seasons take place in 2019 2020 and 2021. their 2020 season was a little bit weird obviously with covid happening it was more of a bubble league and we this was the first one that expanded the rules including the jackpot rules that i mentioned earlier earlier, but overall, all three seasons functioned fairly similarly.
