The "I" in BBFI stands for International. It’s a reminder that our mission fields have no borders! In this episode, we share how God has answered our Matthew 9:38 prayers on an international scale!…
We have around 2,500 churches affiliated with us, working together to reach our country and beyond with the gospel.
For over 76 years, the Baptist Bible Fellowship International has operated under the New Testament mandate to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth through evangelism, discipleship, and church planning.
God's favor on this movement has resulted in the establishment of over 21,000 churches outside the United States.
The overarching goal of the BBFI has always been to fulfill the entire scope of the Great Commission.
This mandate, found in Matthew 28, 18 through 20, includes teaching newly planted churches to observe everything Christ commanded, including the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
2 Timothy 2.2 says, The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
These churches planted by BBFI American Missionaries have matured into strong, independent, and vibrant missionary sending networks.
While the volume of personnel sent from the United States has experienced a gradual decline, the number of qualified and passionate and trained missionaries being raised up by our international sister churches is growing exponentially.
Many international pastors and national fellowship leaders possess an overwhelming burden to plant churches in neighboring countries, closed regions, and unreached areas.
We rejoice in this multiplication of God's work through our fellowship, which started in 1950.
Regional processing centers across Asia, like in South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, and Taiwan, also in Latin America like Mexico, Brazil, and Costa Rica, And even in Africa, we have one in Kenya.
And I know there are many other countries and regions working on setting up their own processing centers to accommodate their own missionaries being sent out.
One of them in the Philippines now has more active church planning missionaries sent around the world than the BBFI does.
They are looking to approve at least 30 new couples in 2027 and maybe even up to 50.
It's exciting to see these regional processing centers working hand-in-hand with the BBFI mission office.
