With the Ontario Liberal Leadership race half over, our Wrap-Up Ontario panel tackles the state of the race so far, the candidates and their performances, and the drive to sign up new members before…
Jordan RayPanelistThe candidate deadline, of course, was just a few days back, and now they have had their first official debate.
So we thought, hey, why not provide an update at this point? Because we haven't talked about it in months because, of course, this is a massively long process that we are still somehow
So what we're going to focus on today is the state of the race at the halfway point here.
We're going to talk about the candidates and their performances so far, including at the debate last night.
And then we're going to finish off talking about the drive to sign up new members before the September 7th deadline.
It's a later deadline for the student clubs, but September will be the next phase of the race that we're Moving towards, before we get going as a refresher, since we haven't been here in a while, maybe we'll give some panel self introductions again.

My name is Daryl.
I'm the former digital and creative director for the Liberal Party of Canada, as well as a former advisor to Prime Minister Trudeau.
I've also worked in campaigns and on political parties across the country.
Now I continue to do that as a freelance digital and creative communications specialist.

We focus on helping clients find out what their story is and telling it to their key audiences.

I do a lot of strategy work, a lot of writing, used to work for the Ontario Liberal Party with Daryl and Theresa as the communications and organizing lead there in 2018 to 2020 during the first of the third party era leadership races.
Isn't that indicative of how things are going? And I'm, of course, your friendly neighborhood podcast host.
So we all have a lot of background, particularly in in this party in addition to politics and communications and digital, more broadly speaking.
